The Saints tackle adversities and keep going until the end by Lindsey Hughes Varsity football came into this season with high expectations after coming off the high of winning C..F. last year. The boys practiced hard for nothing less than perfection. It was a rough start for them, however, they didn’t give up; instead they worked even harder. They woke up at early hours and practiced in the mornings before the sun even rose. They put in the work and in the end, they conquered, as the rest of the league didn’t know what hit them. They came off a hard loss against Northview, but absolutely demolished Nogales 49-0. They continued on, defeating the Covina Colts in an important game with a score of 23-14 in order to make it to C..F. From then on, it was a breeze. They continued tearing their opponents apart and ended their league games beating Wilson with a dominating score of 56-0: a great way to end league play. They fought on and never gave up, even in the end. The boys came together to overcome their early struggles and matured into an amazing team. They worked hard with hopes that they will get what they deserve.
